Chattahoochee Nature Center

The Chattahoochee Nature Center is located along the Chattahoochee River on Willeo Rd. in Roswell. The Center is a steward of more than 127 acres of river marsh, freshwater ponds, and wooded uplands. The Center operates as a community-supported, non-profit environmental education facility, and offers a wide variety of fun and educational programs for families and children. Our most popular and regular events include Animal Encounters, Family Canoe Days, Family Camp-outs, Guided Nature Walks, Weekend Specials, and so much more. For a perfect day to enjoy the great outdoors, the Chattahoochee Nature Center is the place!

Noah's Ark is an outdoor facility that provides wildlife rehabilitation services. Enjoy a self-guided tour as you see exotic animals in as natural a habitat as possible. Panola Mountain State Park

This State Park was created to protect a 100-acre granite monadnock (mountain) often compared to Stone Mountain and Arabia Mountain. Hikers can explore on their own or enjoy a ranger guided tour. Children especially enjoy the interpretive center with animal exhibits. Pets are not allowed on most trails. Bicycles are allowed only on the paved PATH trail. Here's a great tip for FREE family Fun! If you are planning to visit a Georgia State Park or an Historic Site in Georgia, you can borrow a "ParkPass" from your local library. The pass is good for free parking or admission at any of the 63 parks and historic sites statewide for up to five days. You must be a Georgia resident with a valid library card to obtain the ParkPass. Supplies are limited so plan early and check with your library for availability.

Picnic Park & All Children's PlaygroundOpen Daily

All Children's Playground is located at 151 Willowbend Road, Peachtree City, GA 30269. The park features an excellent play structure with a cushy rubber surface. Kids will also enjoy a view of Lake Peachtree where they will often see birds, turtles and other wildlife. Bathrooms have recently been added to the park making it a great place to go even for the wee ones who are potty training.

Tree Climbing - Lake Horton2nd Sunday of the month

Learn to climb trees with harnesses and other gear. Participants young or old can climb for fun, learn to tree surf, or for a good challenge. Register on site the first day of class.
